NEW ! ! ! ! Under the current Health & Safety Legislation you organisations are required to have a Driving at Work Policy, if your organisation:
- has volunteer drivers using their own cars.
- has staff/volunteers who drive to sites other than their main place
of work/volunteering during their own working hours using their
own vehicles, including trustees.
- has staff who drive vehicles owned by the organisation.
This legislation is part of the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) and the Road Safety Act (2006). This manual enables you to run a short training session for your employees and volunteers who drive at work.
It also provides a Model Policy document and templates for the associated documentation (on the CD) and you can put you own logo, organisation's name and/or make any other adaptations.
